There is a specific kind of magic that happens when Brooklyn’s industrial bones meet the bleeding edge of electronic sound. It’s a collision of the raw and the refined, the historic and the futuristic. This Memorial Day Weekend, that synergy is being pushed to its limit with the debut of Why Not Now? A two-night boutique festival experience that promises to be more than just a festival; it’s a living vision of where dance music is headed.
Produced by the heavy-hitters at EMW and ZERO Community (the visionaries behind the legendary City of Gods), "Why Not Now?" is taking over the open-air courtyards of Industry City on May 23 and 24, 2026.
The name "Why Not Now?" serves as a provocation. In a world of digital delays and "eventuallys," EMW and ZERO are inviting the audience to step into a "canvas where sound, light, and human connection converge." As the festival vision states: “Innovation isn’t an idea here; it’s an experience.”
Industry City has long been a crown jewel of Brooklyn’s architectural landscape, but "Why Not Now?" is set to transform its "towering industrial monoliths" into a technicolor urban sanctuary. By utilizing the connected corridors and open-air spaces, the festival aims to create an "in-the-moment" atmosphere where the music reflects the grit and grandeur of the city itself. This isn't your standard warehouse rave; it's a curated, immersive environment designed to make tomorrow feel like it’s happening right now.

The weekend kicks off on Saturday, May 23, with a lineup that leans into the high-octane energy of modern house. North London titans Gorgon City headline the evening, bringing their signature sound to the main stage. They are joined by Italian tech-house breakout GENESI, whose meteoric rise has made him one of the most watched names in the circuit. Local flavor comes in strong with New York City's underground staple Linska, while TOBEHONEST and the genre-defying Dreya V ensure the energy remains relentless from 7 PM until the 3 AM curfew.
If Saturday is about the groove, Sunday, May 24, is about the impact. The legendary Chase & Status will take the reins for a DJ set that is guaranteed to shake the foundations of Industry City. As Drum N’ Bass continues its massive global resurgence, there are few acts better suited to close out a festival of this caliber. Adding to the prestige, Sunday features a massive North American debut of Joy Anonymous back-to-back with MPH. This back-to-back set is a dream for heads who follow the UK's most exciting exports. Rounded out by UK garage icon Flava D and the experimental sounds of Toronto’s Bambii, Sunday is a masterclass in the "next wave" of electronic culture.

With the production pedigree of ZERO that famed for its meticulous curation and larger-than-life environments, expect the visual elements to be just as transformative as the audio.
