The multi-talented artist, Alexander Kotz aka DJ Elderbrook has an act for creating intimate and euphoric music that expresses intense emotion. The GRAMMY-nominated artist unveils his latest single ‘Shallow Water’ which will appear on his new studio album set for release later this year.

“Shallow Water” follows Elderbrook’s triumphant 2024 return in April with “Glad I Found You,” his collaboration with esteemed dance producer George FitzGerald. The new single demonstrates talent and raw emotion, with vibrant elements layering the track with deep-house trumpets. The uplifting vocals are moving and strong and correlate elegantly. Boasting the single with beautiful lyrics, “I can see you falling, and it’s the last time that I turn a blind eye” - something we all relate to. ‘Shallow Water’ is a reminder to always reach out if you are stuck and need help. The new single is a work of art, with stunning vocals and melody. Dive deeper into ‘Shallow Water’
“In ‘Shallow Water’ the cards are down, bottom reached and there is nowhere left to go. The individual has to be better, do better.” He adds, “The song hinges on these bargaining chips, on the get-out clauses we give ourselves when we want to change but know it will be hard. It grapples with questions of integrity and our desire to better ourselves against the knowledge that true and meaningful change is difficult and often messy. It’s the never-ending self-doubt given a voice.”
Elderbrook
Building around Elderbrook’s poignant vocal and uplifting organs, 'Shallow Water' is a pulsating and life-affirming single. The release is also accompanied by an enchanting, choreography-driven video directed by Phúóng Vū with the creative direction of Charlie Rees (Rita Ora featuring Fat Boy Slim, Stephen Sanchez). "In traditional Vietnamese folklore, the sky is represented by the shape of a circle, while the earth is a square. Developing upon this idea, we wanted the video to feature Vietnam’s most stunning and raw natural landscapes, in combination with holistic choreography to present the human element along with giant, abstract, and surreal spheres and cubes that symbolize the earth and the sky." - Phúóng Vū (Video Director)
Recently, Elderbrook headlined a sold-out show at Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre after releasing 'Glad I Found You.' This weekend he is set to perform a massive summer headline show at New York’s Brooklyn Mirage for a six-hour set on Friday, June 14. This summer Elderbrook will be performing at HARD in Los Angeles, returning to Las Vegas for his Zouk residency, Austin City Limits, and more dates in North America. Alongside his stateside plays, Elderbrook has various shows in Ibiza this summer and another packed festival season with appearances at Boardmasters in the UK, Tomorrowland, and Lollapalooza Berlin.
Elderbrook continues to prove himself a frontrunner in the electronic scene with ‘Shallow Water’ continuing his roaring 2024 with a top-tier club anthem teeming with heart and soul. ‘Shallow Water’ is out now, and is available to stream on all music platforms.
