The New Year is approaching fast, and the parties are taking over New York City. The best of house music and techno artists adventuring to the Big Apple to perform. The premiere underground party brand Teksupport revealed its full lineup for New Year’s weekend. It features the hottest acts of today’s dance music charts plus techno legends and local households for a series of seven shows across three venues in Brooklyn. The NYE marathon begins on Thursday, December 28 through New Year's Day, January 1, 2024.

On the opening night of the New Year’s marathon on December 28 is a five-hour set from Chicago native John Summit joined by Israeli rising star Mita Gami at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. The seven-time Grammy nominee Bonobo will perform his renowned DJ set, the event continues on December 29 at the Brooklyn Navy Yard with multi-label techno boss Maceo Plex back-to-back with the New York native Avision. Plus,  Life and Death label head DJ Tennis back-to-back with Swiss powerhouse Jimi Jules, and complete the night with the final back-to-back performance from Miami-based rising star Miluhska and Brooklyn-based DJ and producer Tony y Not.

Teksupport’s NYE marathon week continues on December 30, with the legendary Damian Lazarus the Day Zero founder and Crosstown Rebels label boss at the ArtsDistrict. This will be one of Teksupport’s most impressive lineups in history, for New Year’s Eve, December 31, with Drumcode Records founder Adam Beyer, Berlin-based duo Mind Against, Trick label boss Patrick Topping, Italian techno pioneer Ilario Alicante, and rising star HoneyLuv. For the finale on New Year’s Day, January 1, New York native Victor Calderone will perform at Sony Hall plus a special six-hour set from Bronx-born The Martinez Brothers at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. At night Innervisions icon Âme will perform at a Brooklyn warehouse, more details will surface soon and more supporting artists will be announced.

For the first time since its North American debut in  2019, Eric Prydz announces his return to New York for his infamous and spectacular HOLO event. Held in partnership with the underground events collective Teksupport, the acclaimed live series will take over a Brooklyn location, soon to be announced, for three nights on November 22, 25, and 25.

I was at the first New York debut back in 2019, it was the greatest thing my eyes experienced ever at an event. The cutting-edge visuals and technology led me to believe I was on the journey with Eric Prydz, feeling the exact same feeling as he felt, at each at every visual picture display emerged. Since then, HOLO has become one of the music industry’s most impressive, a groundbreaking fusion of audio and visual artistry. For the last eleven months, Prydz has traveled to expand HOLO across a global scale, giving everyone an opportunity to experience the innovative event series. With headlining slots at Coachella, Sonar, Tomorrowland, and an Ibiza residency. The New York City HOLO shows will be the first in America to occur in a non-festival setting and are Prydz’s first standalone shows post-pandemic.

Since its debut in Europe and the UK, the 'O2C' tour will expand to the States aiming its growth on the rise of progressive house music and techno. The two-month run will begin in Chicago on October 13 the innovative live op-to-close concept will tour across Houston, Brooklyn, D.C., Toronto, Seattle, Denver, Los Angeles, and more dates.

Techno titan Richie Hawtin has recently announced his latest project ‘From Our Minds’ its next expansion destination, New York. The concept will take over the premiere dance space Knockdown Center in Queens. Earlier this year, the unique imprint made its North American debut in the origin of techno. Detroit. The series made its way to a sold-out warehouse event in Toronto, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and more. It holds a strict no-photo and video policy, making each event a one-of-a-kind experience for those in attendance. Richie Hawtin believes he is helping push the techno scene and sound forward in innovative new ways. Knockdown Center will see this dynamic group come together for the first time on the East Coast.

This evolved from Richie’s CNTRL tours back in 2012, when EDM was booming and mainstream across the US. He toured on a bus across American college cities performing and educating a new generation entering the dance music scene of the origin of techno music. The tour takes its slogan and ethos from Hawtin’s ‘90s label imprint Plus 8 and its ‘From Our Minds To Yours’ slogan, connecting back to the early days of techno. The New York showcase will feature a wave of new techno talent throughout the States, representing the scenes of a wide range of dark, heavy, and euphoric sounds while keeping the original traditional techno elements. Heavy-hitters and craft-makers the lineup consists of visual artists, producers, and DJs such as Korea-born and Tokyo-based, machìna and Detroit natives Tylr and Henry Brooks. Brooks will be joined by another rising Detroit artist, producer, DJ, and visual artist Huey Mnemonic, who aims to both preserve and add to the rich lineage of his region’s homegrown sonic culture by channeling the Black American experience into his work. Canadian artist Barbosa, owner of the Toronto label Heist Mode. Representing Texas is the pair of Declan James and Decoder, who often perform back-to-back as their side project Frame. Out of New York is DJ and producer Jay York who runs the vinyl label TOCA Records alongside Decoder. Completing the ballot is Cali-born, Phoenix-based, Lindsey Herbert first encountered techno on Richie’s CNTRL tour and has been a champion of the sound in the South West ever since. She’s joined by Octopus Recordings artist Michelle Sparks, an artist who has been an inspirational gem in the growth of the underground rave scene.

From Our Minds’ is committed to working with independent local promoters who are aware and respectful of the history of techno music. Making the future for techno and its programming, planning, and execution in events. Knockdown Center is home to the club BASEMENT, which has been hailed by locals and touring DJs as one of the country’s top techno sites, drawing comparisons to Berlin’s famed Tresor. The New York edition of ‘From Our Minds’ will take place on Saturday, October 21, 2023, come suited in your blackest attire and immerse in one of the greatest techno vacant in modern dance music.

Public Records NYC

Public Records NYC is the new multi-faceted, ever-evolving hospitality and music space built within the historic ASPCA headquarters building. Throughout its opening, they curated programming of a variety of live acts, DJs, and producers into the intimate space. The venue includes a live room known as The Sound Room, a bar + restaurant, a cafe + record shop, and an outdoor garden. It is entirely vegan, has minimal waste, and champions diverse trans-genre programming across various art practices. The Sound Room features an entirely custom-built sound system from the collaboration of Devon Turnbull of OJAS and Jason Ojeda, a custom-built Isonoe rotary mixer (which also features in the bar), and lighting designed and built by Brooklyn-based Nitemind. 


SILO

The new year is off to a promising start and Mafia B, the local house and techno DJ from Brooklyn, NY is excited to announce his latest project and party concept DECODED. For the first in his music career, the DJ and producer created an event that has a meaningful story behind it and provides a sense of community for both guests and artists. The debut event will begin this month on Friday, January 20, 2023, and will present an intimate vibe and guide to entertaining party guests and talent. The goal of the new party concept will be to cater to a lounge atmosphere where guests can interact with the talent rather than just dance and watch in silence. At the Chelsea Room, a new concept of partying and entertainment will take hold in Manhattan, NY. Doors open at 10 PM with FREE RSVP! Bryan Fein, better known by his artist name Mafia B is a well-rounded techno and house DJ and producer based in New York.
