Seth Troxler's In Between: A Photojournalistic Journey

Written by Meagen Surowiecki  on October 7, 2024

Renowned DJ and producer Seth Troxler is set to unveil his highly anticipated photo book, In Between, at this year's Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE). The book, a collaborative effort with photographer Bill Patrick, offers a unique glimpse into Troxler's life on the road during his ten-month world tour in 2023.

Shot using vintage 35mm cameras, Patrick's photographs capture the raw energy and intimate moments of Troxler's travels across four continents, twenty countries, and forty cities. The book features over two hundred and fifty images, accompanied by select texts, providing a multi-faceted photo essay that challenges the traditional conventions of live music photography.

Beyond the glitz and glamour of the music scene, In Between delves into the personal side of Troxler's life, showcasing moments of solitude, rest, and exploration of different cultures. The book's title, In Between, reflects the transient and ever-changing nature of Troxler's lifestyle and the photographer's ability to capture the essence of these experiences. The official launch event for In Between will take place on Friday, October 18, at ADE 2024. Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase advance copies of the book and hear Troxler and Patrick share stories from their journey and the creative process behind the book.

In Between is a must-have for fans of electronic music, and photography, and those seeking a unique perspective on the life of a touring artist. The book will be available for purchase online starting November 12, with additional launch events planned for New York City, London, and Miami.

Solomun at Pacha New York - Event Review

Every artist has a line they won't cross. For Bosnia-born, Hamburg-raised electronic giant Solomun, that line was geographical. For over ten years, the Diynamic Music boss adhered to a strict, self-imposed summer boundary that once the Ibiza season starts, you do not cross time zones. No transatlantic flights, no grueling long-hauls, and absolutely no leaving […]
