On July 26, 2025, the arid landscape of Aragon, Spain, will transform into a pulsating heart of electronic music as the legendary Monegros Desert Festival returns for its thirty-second year. Attendees can once again immerse themselves in a twenty-two-hour sonic journey. Sprawling across thirteen stages, all set against the breathtaking, yet challenging, backdrop of the Monegros desert.

This isn't just a festival; it's the ultimate voyage! A temporary "technopolis" erected in the heart of the desert, Monegros is a testament to the "Spirit of the Rave," a place where togetherness and freedom reign supreme. As founders Juan and Cruz Arnau said in a recent interview.

“We are delighted to welcome the Monegrinos once again this year. We have been working all year on new spaces, collaborations, and formats, fostering creativity so that the desert dances like never before this July."

The first wave of ninety artists has been announced, promising a diverse and electrifying lineup that spans the entire spectrum of techno and dance music. Prepare for an auditory assault as Australian titans Pendulum bring their explosive live show to the desert, just ahead of their highly anticipated album release. Expect a whirlwind of beats, riffs, and earth-shattering drops that will resonate across the dunes. 

Monegros has always been a haven for techno enthusiasts, and this year is no exception. Legends like Richie Hawtin and Laurent Garnier will share the stage with the rising stars of the scene, including Nico Moreno, Oguz, I Hate Models, Vendex, Indira Paganotto, Anthea, Blawan, and the returning hometown hero, Héctor Oaks. Get ready for relentless 4/4 beats and hard-hitting rhythms that will keep you moving from dusk till dawn, and back to dusk again.

Monegros Desert Festival is more than just techno. It's a marathon of musical exploration. Boris Brejcha, with his signature masked mystique, will make his debut, delivering his pulsating and spiritual techno. Seth Troxler will guide you through a deep and hard-hitting house, while Ben Sims and Cinthie will bring the funk. Expect a diverse sonic landscape, from the hip-hop rhymes of Foyone, Santa Salut, and Faena, to the reggae vibes of Protoje, and the psychedelic trance of DJ Tristan.

The spirit of togetherness is amplified with an incredible twenty-six back-to-back sets, showcasing collaborations across genres. Witness the epic team-ups of Adam Beyer back-to-back with Italian sensation Ilario Alicante with his signature giant glasses look. The acid-techno titan Chris Liberator goes back-to-back with the champion of techno Aaron Liberator. Dutch hard-techno DJ and producer Basswell will go back-to-back with rising techno force onlynumbers. Finally, muli-genre pioneer Blawan back-to-back SHDW. Plus, experience the debut of the innovative Face-2-Face sets, pioneered by 240km/h, adding a competitive edge to the DJ experience.

Monegros is a melting pot of global talent, with stage takeovers from renowned festivals and collectives like Awakenings, Brunch Electronik, 24km/h, and Unreal. The desert itself, with its ever-shifting sands and mesmerizing light, serves as the ultimate stage.

This year, expect enhanced facilities, including more shaded areas, eighty water stations, "oases" for relaxation, a new digitalized cloakroom system, and improved signage and sanitation.

“There are two types of Monegrinos: those who already are and those who don’t know it yet. This year, we’re waiting for all of them because we promise to outdo ourselves in every detail to bring you the festival of your lives,” said Cruz and Juan Arnau, the founders of Monegros.
