MDLBEAST Summer Series Event Recap + Upcoming Shows

The MDLBEAST summer series continues to electrify Saudi Arabia’s nightlife, with back-to-back sold-out shows that brought a thrilling blend of global heavyweights and rising regional stars to center stage. Over the weekend, music lovers in Riyadh and Jeddah experienced unforgettable nights at two of the Kingdom’s most dynamic venues, AFT_r at the new ANB Arena and ONYX Arena in Jeddah.
On Thursday, July 24, AFT_r returned toRiyadh, setting the night ablaze with a genre-defying lineup. Saudi artists Jeed and Saüd kicked off the evening with high-energy sets that celebrated the country’s creative edge. Jeed, known for fusing Arabic rap with modern trap, captivated the crowd with his raw lyricism and unmistakable flow. Saüd followed, blending hip-hop and R&B with regional flair, delivering a performance that honored both tradition and innovation.
International stars followed with full-throttle sets. Quavo, the Grammy-nominated rapper and Migos co-founder, delivered a crowd-pleasing performance packed with hits and signature charisma. Next up was Metro Boomin, the chart-topping producer whose fingerprints are all over the modern hip-hop landscape. He brought the heat with a meticulously curated set that reflected his influence and artistry. The night culminated with the Dutch dance music titan, Don Diablo, who closed the show with soaring melodies and electrifying drops, leaving the crowd breathless.
The momentum didn’t slow down on Friday, July 25, as fans in Jeddah packed the ONYX Arena for another round of unforgettable performances. Jeed and Saüd returned to the stage, this time adjusting their sets to suit Jeddah’s vibrant atmosphere. Jeed surprised fans with a guest appearance by actor and comedian Moayed Alnefaie, adding a local touch that thrilled the crowd.
Once again, Quavo and Metro Boomin brought their A-game, with Metro donning a traditional Saudi thobe, a nod that drew massive cheers from fans. Don Diablo brought the night to a euphoric close, lighting up ONYX with his signature sound and commanding presence.
Though hosted in separate cities, both nights showcased a unifying theme: Saudi Arabia’s rapidly growing hunger for premium, global-caliber music experiences. The seamless integration of international acts and homegrown talent is proving to be the hallmark of MDLBEAST’s summer series.
