Last year, EMW Presents brought the monumental Chris Lake: Black Book Records on the Pier show. It was my favorite event of the season and of all time in New York. The weather held at dusk, and there was a gorgeous sunset. Overlooking the mesmerizing city skyline, the night with city fireworks. The Brooklyn Army Terminal sets the stage for global sensation DJ and producer Mochakk. Promising to be a cultural moment in the New York City dance community. Coming off his recent announcement, the debut Mockakk Calling Festival.
Growing up in Brazil, his first love was the hip-hop culture before he discovered electronic music. He then became a student and learned how to mix, produce, and DJ, which led him to become a global icon. Mochakk leveraged his deep passion and dedication to house music to make a name for himself in his native Brazil, quickly rising as both a meticulous producer and a captivating live performer. He broke through internationally with his standout single 'Jealous' on Circoloco Records, and further cemented his reputation with dynamic remixes of'Superstylin’ released on Groove Armada and Diplo’s 'Express Yourself.' Beyond the music, Mochakk has proven himself a visionary figure in dance music, creating culture-forward experiences like his 'Tricks And Tracks' series, blending skateboarding and electronic music, and his globally acclaimed MochakkCalling events, which have sold out in every major city in the world.
Now, the Mochakk Calling event series is coming to New York City. This wouldn’t have been possible if it weren’t for EMW Presents (East Meets West).
