Don't Miss These Artists at Movement Detroit 2024

The legendary house music and techno festival, Movement has announced the full lineup of its 2024 edition. Movement Music Festival will feature over one hundred acts including headlining sets from innovative techno icon Richie Hawtin, Techno pioneer Robert Hood performing under his coveted alias Floorplan, and previously announced headliner Fatboy Slim. The festival will occur during Memorial Day Weekend, May 25-27, 2024 at downtown Detroit’s riverfront inside the Hart Plaza.


Today’s announcement also includes a wide range of the best house music and techno ranging from dance music’s most in-demand artists, underground mainstays, and breakthrough first-time performers. Movement Detroit has established itself to be one of the longest-running electronic music festivals in the States. Welcoming cross-section of seasoned vets and future generations of electronic music. At its heart, Movement is a reverence for the local roots of the culture, treating Detroit as the Techno mecca it is. While the extremely long and well throughout and curated lineup can be written out in an article, everyone in the community has seen the lineup. This piece will feature the top artists and performances that are a must-see at this year’s Movement.

The two artists have collaborated on Inner City’s singles “We All Move Together” and “No More Looking Back”. Both tracks have gone viral on social media and are widely popular. Idris Elba is an acclaimed British actor in well-known movies, while he’s not on the big screen he’s playing in Ibiza and the biggest festivals globally. Detroit techno legend Kevin Saunderson is a Movement veteran however this will be a debut back-to-back performance with the multi-talented artist.

Karl O'Connor better known as Regis has been pushing boundaries in various ways in the music industry. He is one of the originators of the emergence of the Birmingham sound, and founder of the influential Downwards label with co-owner Peter Sutton (aka Female) since 1993. His flawless moves on the deck create the finest and hardcore techno sets and beats at clubs and festivals worldwide.

He will be going back-to-back with highly respected techno maestro VTSS. She maximizes a high-octane club rhythm impairing it with tasteful transitions with unparalleled fitness.

This year’s showcases will include a special 30th-anniversary celebration of Goldie’s legendary Metalheadz Records, Carl’s Craig’s traveling party series Detroit Love in collaboration with the iconic UK House label Defected Records, Masters At Work Present, Kevin Saunderon’s KMS Records, and DJ Minxs House Your Life. Lineups for the showcases will be announced at a later date. VIP attendees will be treated to VIP pop-up sets all three days, featuring Afrobeats and Hip-Hop collective HouseParty; Detroit-based House and Disco label Rocksteady Disco celebrating its 10th Anniversary; plus, Dub and Reggae collective A Dub Supreme featuring Ranking Gimp and friends.

Many of these artists on this year’s lineup call Movement Music Festival their home. From unbelievable mind-bending performances to the after-parties throughout the night into the morning and afternoon. It’s an unforgettable experience for attendees and the techno and house music artists.
