Armin van Buuren Brings Face2Face to Ushuaïa Ibiza

This September, Armin van Buuren returns to Ushuaïa Ibiza with A State of Trance and his daring Face2Face concept, bringing trance lovers and dance music fans into a fresh kind of musical journey. Running from September 7 through September 28, the residency promises to merge ASOT’s worldwide legacy with the kind of innovation only Armin can deliver.
At the heart of this residency is Face2Face, a new twist on the traditional back-to-back format. Instead of standing shoulder-to-shoulder behind the decks, two artists face each other, literally locked in conversation through sound. It’s not just about mixing tracks; it’s about exchanging ideas, pushing boundaries, and creating an electric tension that the crowd can feel with every drop.
The series launches on Sunday, September 7, with a match-up designed to turn heads: Armin van Buuren versusOliver Heldens, performing under his techno-driven alias HI-LO. The opening night will set the tone for what Face2Face is all about. Two global forces colliding in real time, blending trance euphoria with darker, underground textures.
The announcement of the lineup continues with Armin van Buuren Face2Face with Maddix on September 14, along with D.O.D., Seth Hills, and Ben Gold. On September 21, Armin will Face2Face with techno titan Lilly Palmer. Playing also that night are Funk Tribu and Inafekt. For the final week of the party concept, on September 28, Armin will play a special four-hour extended set. Ushuaïa’s open-air stage, renowned for its world-class production and beachside atmosphere, provides the perfect backdrop for Armin’s vision, a residency where unpredictability and energy reign supreme.
With just four Sundays to experience Face2Face in Ibiza this season, each show carries the weight of a one-off moment.
