No transatlantic flights, no grueling long-hauls, and absolutely no leaving Europe. It was a protective, grounding rhythm designed to preserve his energy for his legendary Solomun +1 residency at Pacha Ibiza. But rules are meant to be broken, especially when New York City is involved.

However, the weather did not permit a fun, open-air setting; instead, the rain stayed all day and night, with temperatures in the 50s. It was not a fun start to the Memorial Day Weekend. In a world of convenience, you might expect a crowd to thin out. Instead, the exact opposite happened. Drenched to the bone, thousands of people stayed, locked in unison, dancing through the downpour until the very last beat. The energy was so undeniable that it spilled over into another five hours together at the Knockdown Center afterparty.
