Detroit is a magical city, it’s the city where Techno was born. Iconic DJs from decades of making music and performing have called Detroit their home. From the finest top-tier talents to the underground artists it's a talent pool in Detroit. Duo Ataxia, and one of the most talented and influential figures in Detroit’s music scene, Joshua Guerin aka Mister Joshooa, formed a powerhouse act. “What started as a bromance, and shortly evolved into a full-fledged marriage for sure.” The new DJ act was created through the power of passion, and a love of house and techno. “I think it was just like a mutual fascination with producing music and eventually partying all the time. We'd always end up back in the studio and everybody would be busy partying and making music, that's where our minds were at. So we naturally moved away from certain things and towards each other.”

Movement Detroit has been the mecca and helmed as America’s greatest house and techno music festival. It has been attracting generations for almost twenty-five years, inviting iconic techno and house music DJs and producers. Local Detroit DJs fuel the music ballot each year. The festival runs from 2 pm to 12 am. Once the festival is over, the city of Detroit becomes louder till the next morning with all the outrageous afterparties. When Movement begins its festival weekend it ignites the city of Detroit throughout the year. Starting the summer season with the finest house music and techno. Movement Detroit Festival has always been a personal favorite of mine. It has been five years since I’ve been back to Movement Detroit, I covered the festival three years in the past and my last year was 2019 until now. A lot did change, the festival has always kept the same stage layout. The Hart Plaza has always been the center location of Movement Detroit overlooking Canada and the Detroit River. This year’s lineup was too good to miss out on, it was the perfect time to return to Detroit and Movement.

The legendary house music and techno festival, Movement has announced the full lineup of its 2024 edition. Movement Music Festival will feature over one hundred acts including headlining sets from innovative techno icon Richie Hawtin, Techno pioneer Robert Hood performing under his coveted alias Floorplan, and previously announced headliner Fatboy Slim. The festival will occur during Memorial Day Weekend, May 25-27, 2024 at downtown Detroit’s riverfront inside the Hart Plaza.

America’s longest electronic music festival, home to house music and techno, Movement Detroit has announced a teaser 2024 lineup. Only a few artists appear on the teaser lineup however it’s loaded with the top and most popular techno artists in the scene. Techno and House Music artists will return to Movement Detroit and techno debuts. Movement Detroit presented by Paxahau will take place at the one and only Hart Plaza in the center of Detroit on May 25 - 27, 2024.

After two years of silence, Movement Festival finally makes its highly anticipated return to Hart Plaza in Detroit. The mecca techno festival will boast its biggest lineup yet, with over 110 acts.
