Movement Detroit Updates Showcases + After-Parties

Just two weeks away from the iconic house music and techno festival, Movement has updated the stages and label showcases lineup featuring world-class performances from legendary DJs and producers in the music scene. Movement is one of the longest-running music festivals in America, dedicated to house music, techno, and the city culture of Detroit. Spending Memorial Day Weekend at Movement Detroit is the only way to have the best holiday, May 25 - 27, 2024. One hundred and fifteen acts, six stages for three days at the Hart Plaza, Detroit, attendees will have an unforgettable weekend. 

Supreme record labels and brands will collide at Movement making the weekend more spectacular. Iconic UK dance label Defected Records will team up with house music pioneer Carl Craig’s Detroit Love showcase at the Pyramid Stage on Day One, Saturday, May 25. Featuring a live performance by the master Carl Craig, Floorplan, Waajeed, Dames Brown, DJ Holographic, and HoneyLuv. The showcase ballot for Day Two, Sunday, May 26 will include KMS Records at the Pyramid stage hosted by Kevin Saunderson and an extraordinary back-to-back set with Idris Elba plus special guests Sama' Abdulhadi, Will Clarke, The Saunderson Brothers, and more⁠. The night continues at the Stargate Stage⁠ with the Masters At Work Showcase featuring New York City duo, Anané, plus The Blessed Madonna, Ron Trent, LadyMonix, and more. On Monday, May 27, Day Three sees House Your Life presented by DJ Minx making her return at the Pyramid Stage bringing Honey Dijon, DJ Tennis back-to-back Gerd Janson, Tama Sumo back-to-back Lakuti, and more⁠. Rounding out the night and festival weekend is the anticipated showcase 30 Years of Metalheadz at the Waterfront Stage presented by Stargate Stage⁠. JARS featuring two special sets from Goldie (Live Band & DJ Set) with LTJ Bukem, Armanni Reign, DRS: In Session ft. Dogger, and more⁠. Find exclusive sets in the VIP area with Pop-Up performances from HouseParty, Rocksteady Disco, and A Dub Supreme.

The parties continue throughout the Detroit nightlife with the Movement’s legendary after-parties. To name a few top parties not to miss is Glitterbox at Spotlite Detroit, Control VI a two-room event, featuring techno heavyweights FJAAK, I Hate Models, RDIEL, and techno pioneer Richie Hawtin, plus Ellen Allen presents WE ARE NOT ALONE all taking place the at The Russell Industrial Center. Another not-miss after-party is In The Mood 10-Year Anniversary with Nicole Moudaber, Layton Giordani, and Chris Liebing at the infamous Magic Stick and the Soul Clap House of EFUNK Detroit 10-Year Anniversary party at the TV Lounge. Celebrating over twenty music and arts, Movement Detroit continues to make the year better than the last by inviting the biggest house music and techno stars in the circuit. Plus offering the finest and delicious food vendors while keeping its origin alive every year. It’s been one of the longest festivals I’ve attended and covered throughout the years, it continues to take my breath away and I create more memories with the best crowd.
