The brand new immersive dance club called SILO is officially opening to the public next weekend February 10-12, 2023. The fully equipped event space has a 500-capacity. and was built in a converted hangar in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The curated dance space was once a secret party at a refurbished Brooklyn auto garage, and with the vast and quick following, SILO was born. Founders and close friends Alex Neuhausen and Lilly Wolfson poured their sweat and tears into making SILO a reality and are excited to officially open after three years of planning and fundraising. Finally, SILO is a gender-neutral space, enforcing no gender norms or power structures and tolerating no forms of hate or bias.

The debut event, CIRCE will have a goddess theme with original and lavish decorations. There will be an all-female lineup featuring Cassy, Tara Brooks, and Yonit that promises to make this electric, sensual party one of the most can’t-miss events in NYC during Fashion Week. There is no better event than CIRCE to be one of the first at SILO. The main goal of the club is to blend a more artistic approach to nightlife with forward-thinking artistic curation, and social equality. Much like the immortal goddess that serves as its namesake, CIRCE promises to become a timeless party for the ages and a memorable event for women in nightlife.

“We want to create a playground where people can morph into whoever they want to be. CIRCE started because a man didn’t think I could throw a party,” Wolfson says of the motivation behind the event. “The underlying concept is the power of the feminine. Or the way power is shaped when it’s articulated by women…We are the alternative, sexier, more flexible, and more capable of transformation.” - SILO founder Lilly Wolfson and co-producer Jessica Markowitz.

“For me, it’s always been women DJs who know how to make other women move on the dance floor, so it was only natural that we’d have an all-female lineup for CIRCE,” says Markowitz, who will be opening the party under her DJ alias Yonit. “I wanted to build something custom for CIRCE, something that would make the party different. So I started working out the details of a custom lighting installation,” she shares. “At night, after work, I soldered wires together in my NYC apartment. And I programmed the Arduino myself, I configured the color hex codes and time delays to make it so that when it blinked on and off it gave warmer energy to the room.”

This month in February and the next in March, SILO will feature a slew of upcoming events. Featuring powerhouse dance music DJs and producers that will offer the best experience.
