After two long years, MATTE Black will finally return with their most anticipated event yet. On April 23, The Knockdown Center will be taken over by A MATT Project for a comeback return event unlike any other. The night will be a historic night, filled with a sea of black with smiling faces, state-of-the-art sound systems, and a lineup that breaks barriers.
MATTE Black has been uniting creative communities to experience music and art for 10 years strong. An orchestration of sound and form. A symphony of light and dark. A collision of sense and experience. A bridge to a new verse. It’s an underground party series with the intersection of music, art, design, and digital technology. The immersive event bosts selective names within the underground community offering an array of talent.
The comeback lineup consists of German DJ Marcel Dettmann, designer, DJ, and producer Heron Preston, The Red Room is back with AceMoma, electric-house producer Tammy Lakkis (LIVE), Mexican vibes, and euphoric sounds from PAURRO, upcoming American DJ and producer, Hank Korsan, and Brooklyn’s own techno DJ Amelia Holt. Headlining the immersive event will be South Korean techno madam herself Peggy Gou. Art installations are to be announced.
BLACK has always been the amalgam of all colors and right now our hearts are bleeding. A portion of proceeds will be donated to the International Rescue Committee - Ukraine chapter in support of displaced civilians and refugees.
