Some DJs are born to be artists, natural boundary-pushers who refuse to let their sound be dictated by passing trends. Over the last decade, Newcastle’s Chris Costigan, universally known as Cristoph, has firmly established himself as one of the most genuine, passionate, and unwavering forces in the electronic music landscape. As the boss of his own imprint, Consequence of Society (COS), and the driving force behind the acclaimed COS Radio Show launched in 2022, Cristoph is shifting the paradigm of artist autonomy. “You create your own platform; that way, you don't have to rely on other labels. They'll have a release schedule, and you have to fit into that. I've always wanted my own label.  I really enjoy nurturing people / bringing them through, and seeing them succeed. I want COS to be that platform to allow artists to express themselves through their music”.
