Dirtybird Campout x Northern Nights Announce Lineup

Written by Meagen Surowiecki  on April 5, 2025

Northern California’s festival scene is about to be forever changed by its recent collaboration and infamous return of the beloved Dirtybird Campout with the help from Northern Nights. Set to take place July 18–20, 2025, at the stunning Cook’s Valley Campground in Humboldt County. This first-of-its-kind partnership promises an unforgettable weekend of music, art, cannabis, wellness, and pure community magic among the towering Redwoods.

Dirtybird Records has been the leading label in House Music, gaining momentum with its growing fan base, unique sound, and artist roster. This led to the expansion of Dirtybird Campout, a one-of-a-kind festival combining fun camping activities throughout the day while listening to the best of house and bass music. Northern Nights, meanwhile, has built its reputation on pushing boundaries with progressive cannabis integration, eclectic lineups, and a laid-back, community-forward vibe.

With the collaboration of both festivals, this year’s lineup will truly be memorable and one not to miss. With returns of iconic members of the Dirtybird crew, bringing the bird flock back together. It balances Dirtybird’s signature bounce with Northern Nights’ genre-fluid curation. Jungle (DJ Set) will bring their soulful, funky vibes to the Redwoods for the first time, while heavy-hitters Zeds Dead return fresh off the buzz of their new album Return to the Spectrum of Intergalactic Happiness. Other must-see acts include genre-smashing singer Aluna, dynamic house duo Walker & Royce, and the red-hot trio Levity.

The Dirtybird gang will make its official return with its biggest duo, the Martin Brothers, Justin Martin and Christian Martin, Justin Jay, Ardalan, Mz Worthy, and VNSSA, plus a whole roster of bass-heavy talent like J.Phlip, Sacha Robotti, and Kevin Knapp. In true Northern Nights fashion, the lineup also embraces turntablism, Drum n’ Bass, experimental bass, and queer-forward artists with Cut Chemist, Ed Rush & Optical, UNIIQU3, Wreckno, and Mary Droppinz on deck..

The Dirtybird x Northern Nights collaboration isn’t just about lineup synergy, it’s about reimagining what a festival can be. My first time going to Ditybird Campout was in 2017, covering the festival on my own. I made so many connections, met so many artists, and formed bonds and friendships. I got to experience what a camp is actually like, plus being able to interact with your favorite Dirtybird artists, it's a dream come true being a part of the community.

The main stage will serve as the center of the festival, co-curated by both camps, the Bird Bath Stage, promising daytime grooves and leftfield low-end bass on either side of the Humboldt/Mendo county line. The Grove Stage for mellow moments and the Late Night Bunker for the all-nighters. Beyond the beats, attendees can dive into a wide range of curated experiences. Think outrageous camp games, wellness programming under the canopy, late-night silent discos, local community-driven stages, and always a few surprises still under wraps. It's that anything-goes Dirtybird energy, meeting the progressive, inclusive ethos of Northern Nights.

Located just 190 miles north of San Francisco, a three-hour journey to Cook’s Valley Campground natural paradise. A serene slice of the Emerald Triangle featuring riverfront access, old-growth Redwoods, and wide-open skies perfect for dancing from dusk till dawn.

This collaboration marks a new era in the independent festival scene, establishing both festivals in cooperation over competition, shared values, and a deep commitment to community over commerce. Both Dirtybird and Northern Nights have built loyal followings by staying true to their identities, and this joint venture is proof that when kindred spirits come together, the result can be nothing short of magical.

Tickets are on sale now on the official Dirtybird Campout x Northern Nights festival website. This includes GA, VIP ticket options, and various on-site camping accommodation offerings. Fans can also enter to win the ultimate VIP prize package, where one lucky winner will receive two Northern Nights x Dirtybird Campout VIP tickets, one Car Camping Pass, one Dirtybird Lovebirds Box Set, and one Soundboks 4 Speaker + Backpack.

Solomun at Pacha New York - Event Review

Every artist has a line they won't cross. For Bosnia-born, Hamburg-raised electronic giant Solomun, that line was geographical. For over ten years, the Diynamic Music boss adhered to a strict, self-imposed summer boundary that once the Ibiza season starts, you do not cross time zones. No transatlantic flights, no grueling long-hauls, and absolutely no leaving […]
