Deep Dish Teams Up with Nicole Moudaber for New Rework

Written by Meagen Surowiecki  on February 23, 2026

In the fast-paced world of electronic music, tracks often have the shelf life of a viral TikTok trend. However, every so often, a piece of music comes along that evolves. Nearly a decade after its initial inception, the iconic collaboration between Nicole Moudaber and Skunk Anansie has returned to the spotlight, this time with a fresh perspective from the legendary duo Deep Dish. Released on Factory 93 Records, the new rework of ‘Love Someone Else’ is a masterclass in how to respect a classic while making it feel essential for 2026.

The journey of ‘Love Someone Else’ began with a chance encounter on a flight between Nicole Moudaber and Skunk Anansie’s powerhouse frontwoman, Skin. That serendipitous meeting birthed the Breed EP, but it was Moudaber’s 2016 "revision" of the band’s original single that truly broke the mold. Unlike a standard remix, the 2016 version was a reimagining. It took the raw, emotional grit of alternative rock and translated it into the language of the underground. It wasn't about chasing a "crossover" hit; it was about genuine creative chemistry.

The duo, Deep Dish, renowned for their ability to blend melodic house with futuristic textures, were long-time admirers of the Moudaber and Skin collaboration. Their desire to bring the track back to the forefront is a testament to the original’s emotional weight.

"Skin and I first connected completely by chance on a flight, and that meeting led to our initial work together on the Breed EP. 'Love Someone Else' came afterwards, as my own interpretation of her original track. It was always about instinct and emotion rather than genre. When Deep Dish reached out all these years later, it felt natural to return to it again, to add a new touch and a new dimension." - Nicole Moudaber

The rework by Deep Dish is less of a reinvention and more of a seamless continuation. Skin’s vocals remain the undisputed heart of the track. In this new version, her voice takes on a renewed intensity, floating over a bed of sophisticated production. Deep Dish brings their trademark futuristic melodic house to the table, which acts as the perfect foil to Moudaber’s signature dark, driving techno sensibility. ‘Love Someone Else’ rework is built for the dancefloor. The rhythm is infectious, maintaining the brooding atmosphere of the original while adding a modern polish that hits hard in a club setting.

‘Love Someone Else’ proves that genre boundaries are often just mental hurdles. By blending the worlds of alternative songwriting and high-end electronic production, this trio has delivered a record that feels both nostalgic and incredibly forward-thinking.

Whether you’re a fan of the 2016 original or discovering this powerhouse collaboration for the first time, this rework is a mandatory addition to your late-night playlist. Deep Dish x Nicole Moudaber x Skunk Anansie - ‘Love Someone Else’ is out now on Factory 93 Records.

Solomun at Pacha New York - Event Review

Every artist has a line they won't cross. For Bosnia-born, Hamburg-raised electronic giant Solomun, that line was geographical.
